The LK brand was born in 2017 in Milan, from the designer Lucrezia Kauffmann with the ambition of creating a project with a strong identity in which she could express her creativity, which has always been closely linked to art and to Made in Italy craftsmanship.
These characteristics have been expressed since the first study of a bag in 2016, inspired by Memphis Design, an artistic movement so fascinating that it made the first samples of what is now the iconic bag of its collections: LK The One. The result of many experiments, drawings, paper patterns, it's the maximum representation of the designer's dream world.
The surreal imagery recurs in all of the collections: expressed in the iconic zip placed on the front of the bags, like a door to the dreamlike universe of Lucrezia Kauffmann. For the designer, dreamlike is linked to everything that is surreal, an upside-down reality that most people don't get, where details seem bizarre, the meaning is questioned and what is ordinary isn't common. Everything is more graceful, harmonious and symmetrical. In this dream world of Lucrezia Kauffmann, everything that is bizarre is ordinary. With this in mind, the zip offers multiple shades and emotions, which infuse uniqueness and a particular style to the wearer.
In addition to the existing collections of bags and leather goods, the LK brand will soon open up to new product categories, with the aim of revisiting the classic approach to fashion, for a woman who wants to show her definitely new and outside the box look.
Lucrezia Kauffmann was born in Milan in 1991, she is a designer of Italian-German origins, creator and founder of the brand that bears her name. She has a long family history behind it which has its roots in the historic leather tanneries.
Her academic career in fashion begins at the "Istituto Secoli" in Milan, where she learns the basics of clothing and accessories modeling, and ends with an internship at Maison Costume National. Subsequently she spent six months in the surroundings of Florence collaborating with the company Onward Luxury Group Spa. After these experiences, Lucrezia chose London as a destination for the development of her creativity, attending a master in Fashion Design at the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
In 2014 she returned to Milan and began to create her first prototypes, making them with different sewing machines. Here she also attended a Fashion Design course to improve her skills more and more. In 2016 she began studying a bag inspired by the artistic current Memphis Design, which led her to create her first Candy Memphis collection: the first samples of the LK The One bag were born, the brand's iconic model, which will successively be declined in all collections.
LK The One, is the iconic model of the Lucrezia Kauffmann brand, declined in all collections.
